Behind The Lens
Roz Nash - Photographer
I got my first camera when I was 8 years old! A black & white polaroid instantmatic!
By the time I was sixteen I had an SLR and had begun to delevop my own black & white prints. My other passion at the time was theatre lighting and followed this route into professional theatre. I started as technical assitant and worked up to production manager and lighting designer on over 50 productions, but my dream to become a professional photographer was still there. Kerry and I met 13 years ago and found we both had a passion for portraiture, she encouraged me to take a course in digital photography and two years later this turned in to Aztec Photography and we haven't look back since. Over the years we have met lots of interesting people and I always enjoy the challenge of capturing natural images. When I am not taking pictures I play golf and have recently taken up yoga to stay supple as I do spend a lot of time sat on nursery school floors!
Kerry Cooper - Puppeteer and office girl!
As the big sister to two much younger brothers I developed my child caring skills very early on. I loved being a stay at home mum when my own two children were little and understand how it feels for parents as they drop off their children at nursery for the morning. I believe that with the right re-assurance and a little patience we are able to take relaxed happy photos and it is really important to us that this is a positive fun experience. I spend much of my time on my knees playing and explaining what we are doing. The art of distraction is key! Puppets, balls, cars and stickers come in very handy to relax and reward the children for their efforts.
I am responsible for customer care, pick pictures and general admin. My hobbies are indoor wall climbing, golf and I do yoga 5 times a week.
